Remote IT Project Manager

We are currently seeking a seasoned IT Project Manager for a 12+ months (strong possibility for extensions) contractual opportunity with our client based in the Metropolitan Washington, DC area ,  however, the qualified candidate can work on a REMOTE basis with minimal travel, as needed. Additional Responsibilities:

  • Project management process use and compliance
  • Project communication planning and execution - setting appropriate expectations, communicating status with all stakeholder groups, escalating issues and concerns when warranted.
  • Participate in various project meetings
  • Track project status
  • Working with the sponsor to ensure the planned business value is progressing according to plan
  • Coordination (with Procurement) of vendor management (RFI, RFP, SOW, etc.)
  • End user training planning and coordination
  • Change management addressed in organization, technology, architecture, and business readiness
  • Coordination of quality outcomes through test planning and execution
  • Execution of project plan deliverables, including operational readiness with the appropriate project team members
  • Issue facilitation and resolution
  • Resource management to ensure the correct resources are available in a timely manner with the sufficient skillsets to meet project needs 

Required Skills:

  • BA/BS Degree along with 5-10+ years of Project Management experience
  • PMP Certification is highly desired
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Focused and versatile team player who is comfortable under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication capability at all levels of the corporation
  • Solid presentation skills; persuasive, encouraging, motivating, and inspiring; the ability to listen and understand
  • Financial acumen

IT Help Desk Associate/Systems Engineer

We are seeking several Entry Level Engineers that will be responsible for acting as first tier technical support for handling customer issues. This position will be a member of a team of Desktop Specialists that will be the initial response resource for customers and will perform initial analysis and troubleshooting to rectify problems and, if necessary, escalate problems as directed.   Send your resumes to: resumes@kdgroupinc.com  


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Resolve tickets as assigned.
  • Perform bench-level hardware troubleshooting and repair      as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on customers' networks      and systems.
  • Document and prepare higher level issues for upper      level engineers.
  • Provide on-site technical support as needed.

Requirements: 

•         Intermediate knowledge of desktop operating systems

•         Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

•         Basic knowledge of networked workstation and server configurations

•         Basic knowledge of network devices

•         Excellent communications/customer relationship skills

•         Excellent organizational skills

•         1 to 3 years of desktop experience

•         1 to 3 years server experience a plus

•         A+, Network +, Security+, MCSE, MCITP, MSCA, CCNA or equivalent a plus. 

Helpdesk Manager

 Leads, directs, coordinates, manages, executes, and integrates following disciplines: Information Technology (IT) systems interoperability; hardware/software integration to include mainframe, mini/micro-computers, etc.; hardware/software maintenance support; communications/electronic support; video teleconferencing support; necessary user support services; electronic messaging; server support; and systems administration.
 

As a team leader, plans, directs, coordinates, and facilitates the activities of several employees engaged in the various functions of the team. Coordinates the activities of the team to assure compliance with published policies and regulations, completion of deadlines, proper execution of functions, and overall efficiency of operations. Makes assignments, reviews work accomplishments as necessary, and renders technical advice and guidance on unusual, controversial or complex problems.


  • Minimum Experience:
    At least 7 years of demonstrated experience in Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or Computer Sciences
  • A minimum of five years of current experience in Information Technology and/or System Administration
  • Prior experience with IT Service/Helpdesk support with a government agency preferred

     

IT Contracts Administrator

We are in search of an IT Contract Administrator to manage the contract drafting and negotiation process for software, hardware, maintenance, and professional services purchases made by the IT organization. The IT Contract Administrator serves a key function as the primary liaison with the HR Department to ensure compliance with all terms, provisions, and processes that are critical to the continued success of the company. The IT Contract Administrator also manages the negotiation of contract data security provisions for third parties who will access, collect, receive, process data, regardless of whether the contract itself is being negotiated by the IT Contract Administrator..   Send your resumes to: resumes@kdgroupinc.com  

Experience:   

  • Bachelor's degree in business,  pre-law or other related fields
  • 2 Years’ experience drafting  commercial agreements and negotiating commercial deals.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently with little direction and/or supervision.
  • Superior communication skills  and demonstrated experience interacting at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Ability to quickly develop a  deep knowledge of the company, industry, products and services, and a  desire to work closely with our business teams on negotiating deals in  support of company strategy. 
  • B.A. is desirable, a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school is highly desirable.


Duties:           

  • Lead IT commercial discussions  between business and IT partners and proposed external service providers. 
  • Draft and review master  agreements, statements of work, Order Forms and other contractual business documents. 
  • Act as a liaison between IT and  internal DISH counsel to ensure that key business and legal terms are      adequately addressed to protect the company's interests. 
  • Facilitate security evaluations  and negotiate contract security provisions for external service providers who will access, collect, receive, process or store DISH data. 
  • Administer IT contracts so they are easily available and renewed according to specific contractual terms. 
  • Interact with upper management on a routine basis to present status summaries and determine priority of contract items. 
  • Improve and revise departmental processes and procedures on an ongoing basis.
