David Benson is taking his company to a new direction.  As the president and chief engineer of The KDS Group, Inc. Benson wants to shift the focus of his Washington, DC and Prince Georges based business from integrating legacy systems to improving health care. 

To do this, he has partnered with Microsoft Consulting Services,  to develop and  offer a computerized methodology with which doctors and medical students, using wireless devices, can evaluate patients in real time and immediately load their diagnoses and medical thoughts into a database. He believe this will dramatically reduce their paper work and allow physicians to spend more time with their patients.

"Most physicians spend an inordinate amount of  their time on documentation or administration and less on their patients," he said. "There are so many areas that necessitate improvement. We, believe this will help the overall Medical Community by developing efficient wireless modalities." 

As a former Medical Student, Benson has a keen knowledge of what the current problems are and what needs to be addressed to make healthcare systems more efficient.
